Congratulations to George Wendt.
He broke the 55-59 400 IM American Record previously held by Drury Gallagher 4:56.23 in 5-18-97.

George swam the 400 IM in 4:52.84.

Awesome Job, George.

In all seriousness, they are related. (At least, that's what George's son Dan said a long time ago.)

It was an awesome swim to behold.

Nice swim George! Now I wish I wouldn't have been so lazy and would have attended. Congratulations!
