Hi,
I'm moving from Cleveland, OH, to Peoria, IL, and am trying to track down any Masters swim groups. Can anyone help? It seems as though the only ones I've found are in Chicago or Bloomington. Thanks!

I know that Bradley had a team awhile ago. Find Redbird on the forums and ask him where he swims. If you would like to travel to Bloomington we would love to have you!

Welcome to Central Illinois! Where, exactly are you located?

I'm a solo swimmer at Pearce Commmunity Center in Chillicothe. Not the best pool for it, but I live a few blocks away.

The team at Bradley folded a few years ago. You may want to check in at Dunlap High School (out the north end of Peoria) to see if they have a group of adults swimming there. Their high school swimming coach (Jim Bucher) might know. I think they were still part of Central Illinois Masters (an area team), but If I recall correctly there were a few folks trying to get some regular practices together there.

For me, my work hours and commute to/from Morton every day didn't work out with their practice times.

I will ask one of the local age group coaches in town if he knows of any other groups trying to pull together a practice time.

Keep swimming!

Thanks Redbird and etrain! I appreciate your help. I will be close to Dunlap HS so I will have to check that out when I arrive next week. In the meantime, if you hear anything else, please let me know. I can't believe there wouldn't be some kind of group in Peoria?! Thanks again and happy swimming :)

I need to do swim 4,000 plus yards daily in a 25 yard (or longer) pool, for 1 week starting May 4th. I will be staying on the north side of Peoria. Anyone know a good pool?
