I thought the original invitations had her as a inductee??? What is the story? The Balco involvemnt????

Not that I am of aware of. According to the press release here http://www.nbc5.com/sports/16654508/detail.html?rss=chi&psp=news they have already had the induction ceremony in Chicago on June 19, 2008. Unless something has happened since then I do not believe that Amy Van Dyken was removed from the US Olympic Hall of Fame.

Frank-that ceremony was for the Olympic Hall of Fame not the Intenational Swimming Hall of Fame which had its ceremony during the just concluded trials.

Amy Van Dyken was inducted in the International Swimming Hall of Fame last year in 2007 so that is why you did not see her name for 2008 ceremony during the just concluded trials.
