I have found several MP3 players for swimming that are waterproof.
Just wondering if anyone is using one that works well for them or if they have any that they would not recommend.
thanks
Joanne

This is what I use all the time and works well: Finis Swimp3. I have never tried the others that have earphones. But the reasoning behind the bone transmission of sound underwater is good science and makes sense.

i have the aquabeat by speedo.

Cons:
i have to convert all my files to mp3s before i can download them to the player.
directions do not cover how the earphones should be worn (yes, i need directions because I am not sure they fit my ears well).
needs a high volume because when water gets into your ear it basically goes silent.
does not fit properly onto goggle straps, needs to have a loop you can put your goggle strap through.
cannot swim fast because earphones come out.
does not have a battery gauge, so you do not know how much life you have.

Pros:
few, but it works well enough use.
pretty large memory.
small and compact.
comes with an extension chord if you do not want to attach them to your goggles.
pretty decent battery life.

i have heard great things about finis, so i would go with that.

hope this helps. let me know if you have any other questions.
