Hello--

I'll be in the Sacramento area later this week (Thurs-Fri) and would like to get in a workout if possible. I found 3 groups on the USMS, "Places to swim," listing, but all 3 are a bit restrictive on membership, either have to be members or high drop-in fees if not.

Anyone else visited that area with tips to share? Or anyone who lives there who can give more info on dropping into a workout without paying a huge fee?

This is a biz trip, and I'll be staying at the Hilton Arden West, would be nice to find a place within 15-30 min. If not, I'll just use whatever gym facilities the hotel has.

It wouldn't be a huge deal, except I'll be in Reno just prior to this, and not sure if I'll make it to swim there (just contacted the coach of the UNR team). I may not swim fast, but I try to be a consistent swimmer....

Thanks!

Tim

Sacramento Masters has a web site - http://www.sacmasters.org . They practice at several pools and will be happy to point you to the facility closest to where you're staying. We also have clubs in Arden Hills, Auburn, Elk Grove, El Dorado Hills, Del Norte, Fair Oaks, Rocklin, and Folsom.

In Reno, we have the Sierra Nevada Masters. their web site is
http://www.sierranevadamasters.com . Good luck!
