I'm a triathlete looking to work with a coach that specializes in long distance swimming to help me lower my 1650 time.

I would prefer if the person lived in NY/CT/NJ, but I would be ok otherwise as well.

Thanks

I do not live anywhere near the NY area, but if you are looking for tips on lowering your time, I may be able to help you. I have a lot of experience coaching and my speciality is triathletes and adult swimmers. I currently teach anyone from age 15 months to 74 years. I am a Masters swimmer and a distance specialist. If you are interested, email me.

You won’t find many coaches who specialize in distance swimming, unless it is at the elite level or a large USA-Swimming program.

But the good news is that most of the Masters programs in the NY/CT/NJ area will help you improve your swimming, including the 1650. I swam with the Berkeley Aquatic Masters in Berkeley Heights, NJ for over 10 years and during that time I had some very good success in distance and marathon swimming. This is just one of the many great swimming programs in the tri-state area. I would suggest you check out the places to swim on the USMS web site or contact the LMSC chair for information about the clubs in the area.
