this year I am planning on joining the high school girls swim team, but I don't want to bethe worst in the pool, what can i do to get ready? Im small (5ft) (90lbs) but pretty strong (I also play Ice Hockey, and softball) Also is 13 to young to lift weights?

well in theory with the other sports your cardio is good so you'll prob be fine there. Just getting in and getting used to swimming would be a good place to start.

I think 13 is a bit young for hardcore stuff, but you should be able to do light weights high rep kind of lifts (arguably better for swimming anyway)

Good for you ! See if they have a summer camp to help you into the team & coach. YES, weights will help, not real heavy but lots of reps.
