I am going to have the swimmers on my masters team do a T-30 swim test tomorrow (swim as far as they can in exactly 30 minutes.) Since this is a fairly standard test, I thought it would be easy to find a chart that converts distance swum in 30 minutes into the pace per 100 yards. Alas, I can't find any such chart on the internet and don't want to have to laboriously figure out each swimmers average 100 pace.

Any suggestions and/or urls I can get this info?

Thanks. And congratulations to all the great swimmers at Nationals this year. Boooyah!

Jim, a long distance pace chart that includes paces for a one hour swim can be found at http://www.usms.org/longdist/pacechart.pdf. You should be able to use half the distances shown to easily get paces for a 30 minute swim.

Jim,

Emmett Hines' book "Fitness Swimming" has that chart, and many others, in the back of the book. If Emmett gives the OK, I'd be happy to email, fax you a copy of the chart.
