I would like to know your % on the major workout stuff you do (average) every day. (just for fun)

Example, if you do Ande’s kick workout: 8x25... If you swim 4000, then it would be 5% kick, if you swim 2000, it would be 10% kick…

Obviously, it depends on what time of the season are we and the kind of swimmer you are, the different %s (if you time 400 free is a different % than if you time a 50)

Try to think AVERAGE = most of the time

%-kick
%-drill
%-pull (paddles or without)
%-endurance
%-speed (broken swims or not)
%-race speed (with time)
%-EZ swim




I do about

10% kick
12% drill
12% pull
36% endurance
12% speed
8% race speed
10% EZ swim

Of coruse, some days I do more kick, some days I just do 100% endurance, or 100% speed, etc, but this is my average.

I train for different things through out the year. 50-100 br are my main events, but usually swim 2-3 events per session. June-Aug it's Open water.

but here are my general %

5-kick
10-drill
15-pull (paddles or without)
55-endurance
5-speed (broken swims or not)
2-race speed (with time)
8-EZ swim


but if I look at the up and coming 2 months it will be more like
10-kick
10-drill
15-pull (paddles or without)
40-endurance
10-speed (broken swims or not)
10-race speed (with time)
5-EZ swim


then June and July will be more like
0-kick
0-drill
0-pull (paddles or without)
85-endurance
10-speed (broken swims or not)
0-race speed (with time)
5-EZ swim

I do about 7% kick, but I have a leg/hip problem.:badday:

You may have also wanted people to clarify if they are swimming primarily for health maintenance, or competition. I am more the former:

20%-kick
10%-drill
00%-pull (paddles or without)
35%-endurance
20%-speed (broken swims or not)
05%-race speed (with time)
10%-EZ swim
