It's usually finished between 3 and 4. Sometimes depends on how many scratch due to weather if it's on the colder side but predictions are saying high 80's/low 90's so bring lots of sunscreen and shade if you have any.

Yippeee. Pacific is a grown up LMSC after all! I've been asking for awhile for them to be posted, alas, they are not on OUR (Pacific) website yet : [ DOH!

I called Peter Saturday night and asked him to put them up.... we'll see.

Thanks for putting them here Jim.

See you Friday, where it looks like it will be me and 7 male friends in the same heat of the 1650 (although Brad is a sandbagger!!!). :D
Double DOH! At least with a one piece we'll all look the same :lmao:

GOOD LUCK NOR CAL SWIMMERS!

Hope you get great weather (looks like its gonna be a Pleasanton hot one in the 80s!) - and fast times :)

I sure miss being at this meet... always had such great experiences and fun racing.
Especially have loved the comraderie shared by this LMSC.

But at least I'll see a bunch of you next month in Clovis!

Hey - someone give Bonnie Bilch a shout from me... we have some California backstroke business to work on together!

GO PMS!

One more thing Pacific Masters...

One of our great SPMA bloggers, Rob Dumouchel, is coming up to swim the meet. He has attended all the SPMA meets this year and always writes about and posts up photos.

New to the masters business and stepping up to get involved and promote the sport.

You can't miss him... hope you get to meet him. Good guy.
I told him to find Jim Clemmons - he knows everyone!

Funny, my first Masters meet ever was last November. So far I've only met one person outside my own team - Jim Clemmons.

Related - he's actually a great-uncle (or great-great uncle). I've lost track.

I like that we are swimming women and men together, because I will be less likely to be lapped.

He does kinda look like Hal Holbrook now that you mention it.
Never seen him in a white suit tho'.

I heard Jim Clemmons planned to shave his moustache so he could get the full benefit of his tech suit.

I was thinking about it but then I heard that the next gen tech suits will have full head covering - with built-in goggles - so face shaving will become an option. Swimmers with full beards will be commonplace.

Thanks for putting them up so quickly!

As to interesting performances, Mr. Clemmons swam a very nice 1650. Upon finishing, he was heard to remark how hot it was in the pool. (It was noon, and the water had already been about 80F at 8 am, and like many others in the late 1650 heats he was wearing an all-black suit with a lot of impermeable surface.) I think I had made a similar remark about 20 minutes earlier (to the woman who lapped me again this year!), although I may not have been as polite.

Results include some very nice-looking 400IMs too.
