View Full Version : How does USA Swimming (Seniors) work?

I read on usaswimming.org that there is age group and seniors and for seniors there is no age specific, you just have to make the QT of the meet. When I look at meet schedule for local LSC, it seems like all the meets are for age group.

Are there any local smaller meets for senior USA swimming? If not, what is the lowest meet that senior category exists? LSC championship? Zone Championship? Nationals?

Do you have to be on a team to compete senior in a USA swimming meet?

I am currently registered with Dynamo Masters and need to renew my USMS, but would like to go to USA swimming meets as well if they exist on the local level for adults.

Most of the age group meets have a 15 and over or Open category. This is why I swim in a lot of the USA meets in South Georgia, especially since there are not many if any USMS meets in my area. Since I coach an age group team I actually swim against some of my own swimmers at these meets.

Just check the meet entry to see how they have the oldest age group listed.
