USMS Chicago Convention: Don’t Miss Out on a Great Opportunity
USMS is having its annual convention in Chicago September 16 – 20 at the Rosemont Hyatt Regency and ILMSA is staffing the hosting room for our convention delegates. This is a great opportunity for all Illinois master swimmers to meet and rub shoulders with other master swimmers from across the country and meet USMS employees, board members, officers, and our Executive Director.
Convention delegates and members work very hard during the day to accomplish USMS business and then unwind and relax in the hosting room. It is ILMSA’s responsibility to provide the manpower to ensure the hosting room runs smoothly and we need volunteers for a variety of tasks ranging from shopping, clean up, set up, serving, and socializing. We need volunteers available for shifts during the early morning, noon, afternoon, and evening. We have a need that fits about any volunteer’s schedule and interest.
So, what do you say? Ready to have a blast AND meet others with your same interests? Get your lane mates together and agree to volunteer as a group of 2 or 3.Even if you cannot commit to a specific day or time slot, let us know that you are at least interested in being a host volunteer and we will work with you to find tasks and a schedule what will work best for you.
To volunteer or for questions, contact Heather Howland, ILMSA Secretary, at heatheraleethea@yahoo.com (heatheraleethea@yahoo.com).
