I'm moving to the Warner Robins area soon. Are there any masters groups around? What about meets in GA (other than Nationals)?

Welcome to Georgia.

Most of what you need can be found on the GA LMSC website at http://www.clubassistant.com/GAMasters/index.cfm

There are a few meets this winter, Feb 13-14 Auburn, AL, March 27-28 Dynamo - Atlanta, GA. These are listed on the Dixie Zone website www.dixiezone.com

Swimmile, sorry I took so long to answer this...

There are two teams around the Warner Robins/Macon area that have some Masters involvement. If you ara actually going to live in the WR area the WR Aquanauts are the local team. Wes Hamborg is the head coach and has lap swimming M-W-F from 5:30-7:30 AM and M-Th 10:30-12:30 as well. We are still in the process of getting our Masters affiliation back...there just was not much interest in the WR area for a while. If you are going to live in the Macon area Swim Macon has M-W-F 5:15-6:30 and M-Th 11:00-12:30.

The Aquanauts have a few people that come in and swim laps, regularly from what Wes told me the other day. I practice at the base gym usually since I work out here on base.

Swimmile, enjoy getting to know Tracy. After 5+ years of chatting with him on line, he and I finally met in person about 2 weeks ago. Tracy will be a great help to you with any help you need when it comes to Warner Robins - or as they call it Wonderful Robins. I used to live there (but managed to escape :D in 2001) so I know a bit about the area. Enjoy!
