Congratulations to the 12 Illinois Masters swimmers who competed at the USMS LC Nationals. Our mighty foursome of women took 3rd among the small teams.

Nadine Day set a World record in the 200 IM and George Wendt set a National record in the 1500 free.

Nadine was our top-scorer with 6 firsts. Mary Pohlmann brought home 3 firsts, 2 seconds and a third. George Wendt won 2 events. Andrea Block won the 200 fly and Phil Dodson won the 400 free. Phil also took 2nd in the 200 free and 3rd in the 200 IM, while Andrea took second in the 50 fly and 3rds in the 200 and 400 free.

Tom McCabe took 2nd in the 200 free and 3rd in both the 100 fly and 400 free. Robert Preble took 3rd in the 50 back. Jim Russell took 3rd in the 50 free. Bill Mulliken nabbed 3rd in the 200 breast.

We had strong relays in the 160+ Mixed medley and the 160+ mixed free, both taking 2nd with Tom McCabe, Jim Russell, Andrea Block and Nadine Day. Our 200+ Men's medley and free relays took third, as did our 200+ Women's medley.

Updated CMSA Long Course records for individual and relay events will be posted in the near future.
