Ed Shea passed away

Edward Shea died Sunday, August 31st in Carbondale.
He was 88 years old. He had been hospitalized for 2
weeks with congestive heart failure. His wife, Ruth, and children were with him when he passed away.

I understand that there will be a service in
Carbondale on Wednesday and burial later in Boston.

The Shea's address in Carbondale is

Carbondale, IL 62901

I was very sorry to hear the news. Although I never met Ed, he and I had corresponded on several occasions, and he was very positive, supportive, and complimentary of my work with SWIM Magazine.

Ed will truly be missed by the swimming community.
