Masters swimmer and cold water enthusiast Rob Dumouchel (a.k.a. RobbieD) was just featured on Swimming World's Morning Swim Show!

He swam 10K in moderately sharky 53-degree water between Avila Beach & Pismo Beach on New Year's Day, and lived to tell the tale. Way to go, Rob!

thanks guys... I'm glad I could get the cold water ocean distance swimmer agenda in front of the swim public at large... next up is lobbying for the dropping of pool temperatures to 70 degrees or below :bolt:

Please do not use your new found fame to cause us warm blooded mammals distress.

Use your 15 minutes wisely.

Most awesome and impressive ... not just the swim, but all the coordination and getting the publicity.

... next up is lobbying for the dropping of pool temperatures to 70 degrees or below Those are just the kind of crazy ideas that need to stay locked up in California with all the other lunacy that passes for 'progress!'
