View Full Version : How to do meet records using Hi-Tech

We have used hi-tech to manage our swim meet for two years now and would like to figure out how to create a meet record list so we can determine if someone has established a new record in our upcoming meet.

Does anyone know how to do this?

we have two databases that contain results of two meets. We want the best times for each event sex and age.

Try the following:

Open one of your previous Meet Manager files.
Click on "Events"
Click on "Records"
You should be prompted to edit the tag in the bottom box. I suggest calling it "Meet Records" or matching the name of the meet.
Click on any appropriate boxes in the Edit Record Tag Name dialog box.
Click "Update" which should pull in the best times from the meet.
Export your records.
Open the other meet.
Click on "Events"
Click on "Records"
"Import" the file you just created.
Click "Update" which should replace records with faster times.
"Export" your records to a safe location.

When you next host this meet, you can open up a previous meet, "Save As," and go to "File>Purge>Remove Date Selectively" and select the appropriate boxes, probably Teams, Athletes, Entries / Results, and Relays.
