The Mission Valley Y is right down the road from the host hotel for ASCA.

They have a fabulous masters club & facility - and have always welcomed the swimming coaches to join their workouts!

allan kIf you're around through Sep 11th, you should enter and encourage your fellow attendees to enter the La Jolla Rough Water swim (www.ljrws.com).

It appears that there are lots of swimming options (http://www.missionvalley.ymca.org/lib-local/assets/sked-pool.pdf) at that pool. I will likely swim at the 6:30-7:30 workout, and I will have a car, so if there are three to four people who would like to hitch a ride, I'd be glad to carpool. Either send me a PM or meet me in the lobby of Town and Country by 6:10.

The pool is about two miles away, so I don't think many people will want to walk!

If you're going to swim early, though, it's not that much farther to head up to UCSD and swim at a way more gorgeous facility with a cool, fun team.

Pictures, times, locations here -- http://recreation.ucsd.edu/Masters.html.

I'll be in town on business and either @ UCSD on Friday morning or possibly trekking down to Coronado as there are purportedly to be a couple of beautiful 50M pools I need to add to my 'pool bucket list.'
