So i recently had surgery for a torn ACL. I've been going to PT and recently have gotten back into the pool, so im trying to catch back up. Anyone have any tips/workout to help out. Since I am also trying to get back into the swimming scene.

Right now I just feel like everything is disconnected, my kick and my strokes.

Take it slow & easy! I just came back from hip surgery& water therapy is a good way to start back. Good luck!

I got back into swimming after I was off crutches and weight-bearing from a torn/reconstructed complete tears of ACL/PCL/LCL and muscles ripped off back of knee, limited range of motion. The doc put me in a leg brace 24x7 but the sports brace could go into the pool.

I started with one-legged turns (either flip turns or open turns) and kicked with one leg and just wiggled the repaired leg. No breaststroke kick, start it very gently.

Walking and lunges in the shallow end feel good. Forwards, backwards, sideways, little jumps.

Good luck with your recovery. Most swimming is pretty frendly on ACL tears.
