View Full Version : Tool to help modify sets for various paces

Hi folks,

In our program, over four lanes I have cruise paces that range from 2:05 to 1:12. I suspect I am not the only coach with similar needs.

I was getting tired of the amount of time I was spending putting together workouts, or the amount of time spent standing around by the swimmers.

So I made this spreadsheet to help me with the calculations.

It will automatically adjust the number of repeats or repeat distance of a set to make the total set time come out to be the same, or as closely as possible.

So go ahead and try them out, it is still a little rough around the edges, but it works at its core and I already have found it useful and time saving.

Hopefully the attachments work.

You're welcome, I hope it helps.

I need to add a selector so that you can mix set types in a single workout.

Right now if set 1 is 10 x 150 on 3:00 but set 2 is 8 x 100 at critical pace + :02 with 15 seconds rest, you need to use separate pages
