I. About Team New York Aquatics (TNYA)

TNYA is a New York City-based aquatics club that welcomes athletes of every ability, sexual orientation, race, gender identity, creed, status and age. With a membership of over 400 swimmers, divers and water-polo players, TNYA is the largest aquatics team in the New York City metropolitan area and is considered the largest Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and Allies aquatics team in the world. Many swimmers swim for fitness alone, challenging themselves in workouts by swimming against their own best times, while others challenge their goals through rigorous competition by regularly attending swim meets with the team. With our excellent coaching staff (all of whom are team members themselves), all swimmers receive individual attention and encouragement. TNYA is a membership driven, not-for-profit organization with an active Board of Directors.
