View Full Version : vasa trainer disassmebly/moving?

I'm purchasing a used vasa trainer sight unseen and am picking it up as part of a 300 mile road trip. I can take my truck, but I'd really rather take my Prius which has a roof mounted rack. Vasa trainer looks as if it can be disassembled to the point of having one long tube I can tie down to my rack. Does anyone know if this is feasible? I long for the good old days of $1 gallon gas.

You could do it. But I would probably take a truck for safety. I would also printout assembly instructions and bring them. Make sure to take an inventory of every part before you leave. Bring whatever tools you think you might need and stuff to pack/secure everything down. If you take the Prius, bring some sort of flag to tie to the end so other drivers don't run into you. (like with long rowing sculls or like the Amish and their buggies).

Might be a good idea to take pictures as you dis-assemble to help when you re-assemble
