I would like to get a idea of how many coaches look at coaching masters as a career. This means only coaching adults.

I coach both age group development swimmers as well as Masters, triathletes, swimmers with a disability and open water swimmers.

I'm in my 13th year of full time Masters Coaching, I guess that makes it a career! Still the best job I've ever had, and I've had more than a few. It's challenging and fulfilling at the same time. Thanks to the great folks in Pacific Masters Swimming and USMS we get a chance to run great programs and grow this fine sport. In spite of all the rough spots, politics and bad attitudes we run into, it's still just about the swimming. What could be bad about that? Mike Collins once said something like ". . . coaching adults is easy, they want to be there."

I'm curious how many people are able to make a decent living with Masters Coaching?
Decent living as in, have your bills paid for, and perhaps have a tad left over to invest back into your career.

How are you guys doing it?
