i hear that it's good for your health(and swimming the 500 at nationals) to rectify this problem by eating more blue bell. Keep eating little Ewok. Your friend Mcribs!!!

hey if i cant be 6'5 tall maybe i can be 6'5 AROUND!

speaking of the 500 in SA, i REALLY REALLY REALLY hate the order of events!!!

i just love how all of the free/fly events are back to back, yet they never have breast/free back to back and those swimmers never do both of events (ok dave sims can be the sole exception).

p.s. you 2 gene winners willing to put up a pint for the winner of the 500?
maybe get shaffer and dickson to go in as well. i could use another 1/2 gal for free :D

speaking of the 500 in SA, i REALLY REALLY REALLY hate the order of events!!!Steve, just outsource your entry to me as I have your 6 events all planned out:

Thursday

1000
1650
You are allowed to enter both events and doing this will ensure you truly know the walls so that your turns are then super-fast for the 500 on Saturday and we don't hear any whining about how us tall guys get extra distance off the pushoff

Friday

400 IM - during which you just get a split request for your 100 fly and then loaf the rest. Of course, you will need to do a legal breaststroke to have your fly time count
200 free - plenty of rest by skipping the actual 100 fly and then you're out of there early enough to rest up for the 500

Saturday

500 free - hopefully, we can round up a great final heat for this like we did in Greensboro (and, be thankful that Switzer and Sims are 50+)
200 fly - we'll make this your 6th event, but hope that they don't drop it so that you can win the "macho man" award for entering the 6 toughest events on the agenda

Saturday night - you head up to Austin and buy rounds of drinks for the rest of us who have looked at the Sunday order of events and decided there's no use sticking around for any of that mess.

p.s. you ... willing to put up a pint for the winner of the 500?
maybe get shaffer and dickson to go in as well. i could use another 1/2 gal for free :DI'm in. But, it has to be Shiner Bock.

Are you sponsored by blue bell or something? It's very unlike you wanting to give it away like that. I'm game. The Blue Bell Challenge.

If you can't be sponsored by Blue Seventy, Blue Bell seems like a nice alternative. :)

Actually with the early timing of the meet I'll still be 44. I'm hoping to go, but not 100% sure yet!

Hey, Water Rat, if this 52 year-old can do an ironman pentathlon meet in 2-1/4 hours, you can do two events back-to-back! I will gladly admit, however, that my times absolutely sucked in those five races. :bolt:

Hey, Steve, I'm counting on you tuckering yourself out at least a bit on Thursday with the 1000 or the 1650. Can't have you all super-rested before that 500:bolt:

that's a DisQualified right there for even saying yogurt in the same thread as ice cream!

Karlene
October 8th, 2014, 01:26 PM
Amen! You can freeze yogurt and put sugar and flavors in it. It's still just curdled milk.

DeniseMW

After practice, I have to make a U turn at a plaza with a Sweet Frog and believe me, it takes all my will power to keep going. I love Greek yogurt with fruit and flax or chia seeds, and a drop of honey. The yogurt you get in France is as good as ice cream.

sunruh
October 8th, 2014, 02:37 PM
then you have had some really bad ice cream!!!

when you come to San Antonio for Nats, stop by the HEB grocery store (or any quickey stop) and get some REAL ice cream. not that breyers/dreyers/criers daas/blaas brands of junk.

LOL, sunruh, I am from New England dairy farm country. No supermarket junk for me. Even Ben & Jerry's is considered inferior around there. Nothing is as good as a scoop of chocolate from Kimball Farm (small is the size of a baby's head). It's one of the things I miss having moved back here to the DC area. No great homemade ice cream stands. But when you reach a certain age, eating that much is ice cream isn't in the cards. Too much fat. Even though I try to justify it by claiming it's got calcium so it's good for my bones. :rofl:I look upon ice cream and yogurt like I do the Lord of the Rings movies vs. the books. They're both good, each in their own way.

Elaine. The same rules we were taught as kids about not feeding the animals at the zoo apply to Ewoks. Don't bait him, he will have you in on his bet and you will be buying him a trip to New Zealand:) .

Tillamook. BEST ICE CREAM EVER. Went on a tour of the Tillamook cheese factory in Oregon this summer. Their cheese is good. But their ice cream is fantastic!

About 8 yr ago I found I was lactose intolerant and allergic to milk protein.I have had(almost) no milk products since then and the only things I really miss are really good ice cream and brie. Based on my ancient memories I'd give Blue Bell a slight edge over Tillamook, but they are both excellent. If you find yourself in my predicament try this http://sodeliciousdairyfree.com/products/soy-milk-frozen-desserts/pd-turtle-trails.It's not ice cream, but it is better than a lot of the stuff that passes for ice cream.

i've seen the southern cross from the top of the sky tower in auckland.
too many sheep
really liked the motorcycle shops
ice cream and beer were ok
when i visited i was still retired.
but did swim in the olympic pool in sydney after seeing the 3 sisters.

newengland, sounds like a place smaller than we have ranches here in texas. oh wait that IS true.
King ranch is bigger than the state of rhode island. they allowed the state/feds to build I37 through their ranch.

oh mcribby....i might belong in a zoo, but i sure do like winning swimming bets for food. maybe thats why i look like an ewok? lol!!!
