Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy is seeking applicants for the position of Full-Time Head Masters Swim Coach. Led by Olympic swimming icon, Brendan Hansen, Austin Aquatics & Sports Academy is a new Austin, Texas multisport training facility that brings together expert coaching with a state-of-the-art facility that includes a 50-meter Myrtha pool, 5,500+ sq foot indoor training facility, outdoor training spaces, and an onsite running loop. Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy is a one-stop training destination for the aspiring and elite athlete with focus in swimming, triathlon, athletic training and water polo.


The AASA Masters Swim program recently launched in January 2015 and is a rapidly growing program. We currently hold 11 coached workouts six days per week. The team goal is 100-150 swimmers of all ages with a range of abilities including competitive Masters swimmers, triathletes and fitness swimmers. Participation is open to the greater Austin community.


We are seeking a Full-Time, Salaried Head Masters Swim Coach for all of our workouts (currently Mon-Fri 5:45a-7:00a and 11:45a-1:00pm, Saturdays 6:30a-8:00a). The Head Masters Swim Coach will act as liaison between the aquatics staff, masters swimmers and other guests and programs at the pool, as well as be responsible for any meet organization. The Head Masters Swim Coach will also collaborate with swimmers in developing goals, market the team to attract new members, promote team events and coordinate workouts and team development with the Assistant Masters Swim Coaches. As a representative of Austin Aquatics and Sports Academy, the Head Masters Swim Coach must at all times be professional, timely and be able to work as a member of the Aquatics team.


FULL TIME JOB INCLUDES BENEFITS


REQUIREMENTS:

Multiple years of swim coaching experience at a competitive swim team level
Knowledge of stroke technique
Ability to write workouts for multiple distances and abilities
A Bachelorís degree, preferably in a related field
ASCA Level 1 Certification
Member of ASCA
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification
Ability to work with a wide range of swimmers in terms of ability and goals
Detailed orientated administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills
