Position Masters/MultisportCoach

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Coordinatethe daily operations of the Masters swim, cycling and run programs. The position requires that the multisportcoach define, coordinate and supervise daily workouts that will not only challengebeginners, but also promote fitness growth for more experienced multi-sportathletes. Additionally, the coach will coordinate members’ participation inswim meets, triathlon races, open water swim races, bike races, & roadraces.

Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
1. Schedules, attends, and coaches practicesessions including swimming, biking and running programs.
2. Communicate individual training objectivesdirectly with members.
3. Encourage athletes, of all ability levels,with positivity & support.
4. Organizes all aspects of swim meetsincluding, but not limited to, scheduling individual race participants, creatingrelay teams, recording and posting times and coaching athletes to achievecompetitive goals.
5. Offer skill development clinics specificto the three disciplines of triathlon.
6. Offer private lessons specific to athlete’sneeds.
7. Set up and break down indoor cyclingclasses.
8. Develops a detailed monthly calendar ofmultisport activities.
9. Attends and participates in the Club’smonthly athletic committee meeting.
10. Maintains presence during team events heldoutside club, and on weekends.
11. Encourages and participates in the socialaspects of the UClub Masters Swim and Tri teams outside of normal work hours.
12. Helps keep aquatics facility clean and inproper order.
13. Providesmultisport-related information for club newsletter.
14. Maintains ARC lifeguarding certification.
15. Works together with Aquatics Department toprovide a positive athletic environment.
16. Performs other tasks as required byaquatics director.

Reports to: AquaticsDirector

Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
