Hi all,

Just restarted my swimming training. I have been doing every other night at the moment as i dont want to over do it in the early stages. i have been doing this for a week. How long would everyone recommend i do this for until i progress to 7 days.

There are some of us who are still working up to every other day. ;) I would look up other threads that talk about overtraining. You may be able to go every day without trouble. Or maybe staying every other day, but increasing your intensity would help. (The off day would allow you to recover.)

Any advice would depend on your background, what you want to do know, and so forth. :) (When I started Master's swimming, I added more practices after about 2 weeks, but that was when I was starting to feel a little better about being in the water. That first week was fairly brutal. :D )

It took me about a year to progress to swimming 5-7 days/week, but I had some shoulder problems to deal with.
