With a few more entry problems to be resolved, we currently have 1083 swimmers entered in the 2004 Long Course Nationals. Every swimmer's sixth event has been dropped because the meet has been deemed too large to be run efficiently with the sixth event. All events will be deck seeded. For the 800-1500 Free day, heat sheets will be posted about one half hour after the check-in deadline. For the rest of the days, printed heat sheets will be available each morning for that day’s events.

Psych Sheets should be posted by the end of next week.

Thanks for the heads up Barry! Now I won't have to fret about that 50 I signed up for, phew.. That'll change my workouts between now and then. See you in Savannah...looks like you're ready...you got me again in the fly last weekend!

First of all, thanks to Scott Rabalais for e-publishing the Savannah Times.

Now, I realize that the timeline is very preliminary and very estimated, but I have concern with the following:

Thursday conclusion - 8:40 p.m.
Friday conclusion - 7:35 p.m.
Saturday conclusion - 7:45 p.m.
Sunday conclusion - 3:30 p.m.
...
Due to the high turnout and expected conclusion time
on Saturday, the start of the social is being moved from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30
p.m. The final events on Saturday, the Medley Relays, are expected to start
at 6:35 p.m. and 7:05 p.m. for women and men, respectively. No refunds are
being granted for social tickets.

My concern is as someone who may be on a relay (and closer to the 7:45 finish than the 7:05 start). It seems like I'd have no chance to make the Riverboat by 7:30. Is there any chance of the social being pushed even later?

Mattson, I was wondering the same thing! I was really looking forward to the social but, I won't make it if it means choosing between it and my relay with my teammates! Could the social time be changed to 8:00?:(

Scott sent out an e-mail (the "Savannah Times"), to keep the participants informed. It included a rough estimate for when the meet should end on each day.

As Beth said, I'd really, really like to go to the social and be available for relays Sat evening. :)
