Last night - for a short while - the Board welcomed our newest member 'Sabir.' Now I have no idea who Sabir is, rather, I just thought I'd be neighborly, since Jean Sterling, whose workouts are wonderful, by the way, already was neighborly in greeting and answering Maori.

OK, I'll ask. Did you swim at the short course nationals?

You're welcome, Sabir. I'd invite you to take a look at your private messages if you will regarding your other post.

Sabir is the newest and fastest member here. He'll continue to be until either Gary Hall or Popov join :)

You gave it a good run in Long Beach, Sabir! Hopefully we'll continue to see you in the water in the future.

Sabir,

The whole Masters swimming community welcomes you. I was one of the ones screaming for you at Trials. All the Race Club members swam great, wasn't your 100 free a personal best?

The contacts you meet in Masters will serve you well in life. There are many talented people who are all the same in their swim suits. I have seen Doctors, Admirals, Generals, Olympic Gold Medal winners in swimming and Track, and CFO's and CEO's, and they are all the same wonderful people when they get to the pool.

I don't want to mislead you, most are type A, top dog people who rule their workplace. They just leave that home and love our sport.

Too bad it is too late for you to enter the Long Course Meters National Championships in Savannah. You never know you might have missed your taper and gone a 48 in the hundred.

Best Wishes.

Coach Wayne McCauley

That Sabir :)
Wow!

Hi Sabir, I had a brief moment to shake your hand at the hospitality in Indy, and feel priviledged to have seen you swim there.

Well, as I'm star-struck and fumbling my words around here... I just want to say Welcome :)

I'll cross my fingers and hope you'll have a chance to grace us with your presence in '05 for the Long Course Nationals in Mission Viejo, California. :)

Proud to join the list. Not entirely sure about swimming schedule yet. But I'll keep you posted.
