Question, YMCA Nationals

I have a question. Some of my teammates and I were a little askew as to the eligibility of attending the YMCA national meet.

What does one have to do/be to qualify for Nationals?

The rule says "A swimmer must be an annual member of the YMCA represented and entitled to full physical activity privileges of that association (keyword association) for a minimum of ninety (90) days prior to the first day of competition"

So, in theory, a person could miss the regional/district meet in on April 9th/10th (here in PA, anyway) and still be qualified to go to Nationals?

There's a guy on our team who wants to swim Nationals, but is already registered for the Powerman Duathlon in Alabama on April 10th. That's what the question's for.

The way the rules are for YMCA's is that the only qualifier is that you must be a member with full prevliages for 90 days prior to the competition. That is how one qualifies.

Unlike USMS which does have NQT's if you choose to swim more than 3 events at Nationals.

Hope to see a strong showing from the Pittsburgh area in Indy.
