Because of goggles I developed dark spots(not bags) under my eyes.Well, at least I am guessing that goggles rubbing on my skin had something to do with that.I was wondering if anyone experience that before and if you know what to do to avoid those?

Hi,

I'm not sure what's causing them, but maybe you should try another type of goggle, like the Swedish ones...

Good luck!

Sorry, I can only relate to dark bags!

I don't know whether there's any connection, but when I was first trained in going off a starting block, one of my instructors had the idea that the way to do this was to have me watch a demonstration and then try to imitate it. Her idea was that they could just correct anything I did wrong.

After some initial embarassing attempts in which I went into the water looking something like a partially folded jackknife, I finally got a sort of decent entry. But I was aware of a stinging around my eyes whenever I hit the water. The instructor told me that my head was too high, and I should look down at my belly button as I was going in.

The advice worked, but I later discovered that the damage had already been done: I had gotten black eyes from the impact of the water!
