Hello,

I was looking for some kind of workout schedule for 100-meter freestyle sprint races. My personal best is 1:02, and my goal is to swimm below 60 seconds.

I have been currently swimming 2 hours a day, 6 times a week for the last couple of months. I start with 200 meters very slow and then I begin swimming harder, doing some drills, swimmin only with legs, and then only with arms, etc, ending with another 200 meters very slow.

Considering that I train 2 hours a day, I think I should be doing much better so I guess I am not following the best trainning schedule to say the least.

I am 185 cm high, 73 kilograms weight, and 29 years old.

Any help?

Interval training. Which is being discussed in several other threads. Also try, General Discussion Forum where Ande usually posts.

You could also do a search on SCY sprints and just adjust the intervals as appropriate.
