View Full Version : Undulation durring the Breaststroke

Is there any amount of undulation allowed durring the breaststroke.
I only ask because I've found myself undulating my upper body (no kick involved) coming out of my kick, durring the glide.
Would/should this get me DQed?

It really does seem to help get a longer glide and maintain some of your momentum before your pull.
Anyone else try this?

Undulating is not only legal it is essential for the wave breaststroke. As long as the movement is generated from the chest and does not include a downward dolphin kick(especially with a bent knee dolphin kick) you'll be O.K.
