2006 New City YMCA Orcas Masters Swim Meet

We have another meet scheduled this year. It's on March 12 and is sponsored by the New City Orcas. As always, it should be a good time, and we're looking forward to some fast swims!!

If I said -- South Hills Y -- would you know where it is? Or if I said a meet was being held at Trees Pool. Where is that?

The meet is tentatively scheduled for York High School in IL.

New City is a YMCA in Chicago.

The only master's meets I remember in the York HS had the brown jugs as the trophies. Has that meet been revived (after a year's rest)?

The meet had home brew beer for trophies.
It was awesome.

Carbo loading after an event. It was great.

Yeah, it was the dupage distance classic or something. Great meet that ran quick and tested your endurance level for sure.

The meet is being organized by Jeff Putnam, who has done a lot of the york meets in the past. There's a good chance that there will be beer awards, but I can't say for sure...
