This year there's an oscar nominated song by Bird York an indie artist and actress that has the word SWIMMING in the lyric:

"now you're out there swimming in the deep"

Congratulations to Bird York and her hauntingly beautiful Oscar Nominated song "In The Deep" from the Movie "Crash" It plays as end credits roll.

Ande, the song also plays in the film proper during a montage.

It reminds me a lot of Aimee Mann's contributions to "Magnolia," especially the Oscar-nominated "Save Me.

I agree. When I saw Crash I thought that song was Aimee Mann, actually. Really good movie, by the way.

It's amazing how well that tied into a plot that didn't include swimming. But a lot of values can be copied over to swimming. Awesome movie though. It's kind of a harsh truth.
