Do we need to let anyone know whether or not we're interested in being on relays at Nationals? Ditto with Worlds... even though we're months away.

I'd love to do a Worlds relay. I know my team was trying to become a part of Illinois Masters, but I'm not sure if we did or not. Once I know for sure I'll let you know.

I'm the one who needs to know. All you have to do fill out the form which says "Coral Springs" from the Spring ILMSA newsletter and mail it with your check. The address is on the form. Right now only two clever souls have done so, but we have many procrastinators among our members. I anticipate a large response near State Meet weekend which is when I really need to have your form and check so we can organize the relays.

If you have any doubt as to whether you are a member of Team Illinois Masters, look at your USMS registration card. If it says "020-IM" you're a member. Your subgroup affiliation should be printed out below your zip code.

Thinking about the Stanford meet? There's a different form to use for that one. It's also in the Spring newsletter. This stuff also gets sent to me. There's a fairly long lead time necessary for the FINA meet since we must pre-enter (and pre-pay) for all relays more than two months before the event.

I just joined ILMSA last week, so I didn't get that newsletter with the relay forms. Is there a way to download it somewhere, or can you send it to me? I would like to participate on relays for both State and Worlds.

Heather,
MGM is a different CLUB in the Illinois LMSC. Therefore you have to wait 60 days from your last competition before you can transfer to Team Illinois Masters.

That means 60 days from the last day of States.

You will have to fill out a club transfer form and there is a fee.

If your team wants to transfer to a subgroup of Team IL, then team needs to fill out a CLUB tranfer form and ALL the swimmers do too and pay the fee.

Let me know if you have any more questions,
Nadine

I have emailed the tentative relay lineup for this weekend's meet to all Team Illinois Masters swimmers who signed up to swim relays and gave me an email address that worked.

If you have a team mate who has already left and might not have internet access in Florida, please pass the word.

As always, there will be last minute adjustments, so please check in at the banner every day.

If you signed up for relays and are unable to swim, please let us know so we can put in an alternate.

Thanks! Swim fast! Have fun!
