FLA Aquatics is a coach-owned swim team based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Fort Lauderdale is part of the greater Broward County and Southeast Florida Gold Coast area nestled between Miami and Palm Beach and just an hour from the Florida Keys. Our culturally and ethnically vibrant community is home to nearly 5 million people, plays host to millions more visitors from all over the world each year, and borders no more than 30 miles from the Atlantic shore.

FLA is the fastest growing USA Swimming and USMS Masters Swim Team in south Florida. We currently operate programs at our home site, the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex/International Swimming Hall of Fame (just one block from the beach!), as well as two satellite pools. Our current active membership is over 225 USA Swimming athletes, 125 USMS Masters athletes, and a very active Summer resident and day swim camp program. FLA also hosts some of the largest swimming competitions in the country each year.

FLA is currently seeking candidates for part-time opportunities as assistant age group and Masters coaches, and learn-to-swim instructors. Applicants for should have a minimum one year coaching/teaching experience and ASCA Level 2 certification or above. All applicants should be have current full safety certifications; CPR, 1st Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. Preferred safety certifications would include WSIT, WSI, LGT, LG, and AED.

Additional Preferences:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Hy-Tek’s Team and Meet Managers, Colorado Timing Systems, and Web development software
• Swim meet set-up and management experience
• Certified Pool Operators license preferred

FLA seeks highly energetic, positive, motivated, and fun applicants for all of our positions. Ability to work with multiple ages and abilities of athletes, especially Masters, is preferred. Applicants who demonstrate a history of growing their clubs will be preferred.

Strong verbal and written skills a must. Preference will be given to applicants who are fluent in more than English.

Demonstrated National level success at the USA Swimming (or FINA sister Federation), NCAA, or USMS may be substituted for work experience.

Wages are commensurate with experience; swim meet expenses; professional dues; Professional development allowance; Incentive opportunities.
