Does anyone have a favorite swim store in the Dallas-Ft Worth area? I just moved down here and haven't seen anything other than the stores that sell the swimsuits that aren't really intended for pool use (I hear that chlorine is a killer on sequins!). Any suggestions?

Thanks!

D&J Sports in Dallas and Kiefer in Plano are the specialty stores. They are a bit of a drive from Fort Worth. The big general sporting goods stores have a limited inventory this time of year (Academy, Sports Authority) but do carry Speedo and Tyr competitive suits as well as the more matronly "fitness suits". Both D&J and Kiefer have websites.

Some of the USA Swimming teams will have a kiosk for D&J and will sell a very limited number of items in the pool lobby during USA Swimming meets.

The new lycra is much more chlorine resistant than the old; the polyester suits wear even longer but have different stretch characteristics than the lycra. If you know your size you can just order online.

Definitely check out D&J if you are over in the Dallas area. They have large selection in their downtown store. They do mail orders, and thier web site is http://djsports.com/ . They publish a paper catalog a couple times a year which they will mail to you. Masters members get a discount. Haven't been to the Keifer store myself, so I don't know how that compares.
