I'm not sure how to present this thought. But just as sure as butterfly is not breast stroke anymore, neither is the butterfrog stroke the same as butterdolphin.

How's'bout separating them into two different events.

I dont see usms adding a new stroke (butterfrog) as a separate event. They wont even make 25's official. Plus it would make the meets longer.

I think they should eliminate strokes and events, no butterfrog, no breaststroke, no back stroke, nothing over a hundred, add 25s, add 25 dolphin kick.

This would shorten meets and only real swimmers would enter.

George, thats a little draconian is'nt it?:shakeshead: While I'm in favor of anything with a whip kick,I can't in good conscience edorse butterfrog as a separate stroke.

How about Breastfly

Right arm Breast/ Left arm Fly
Right leg Fly/Left leg Breast

$20 to first video of said stroke over 25Yards...

Opps I left out that we should only swim freesytle (you could swim any stroke you wish, even butterfrog) and fly races and add dolphin kick races of 25m nothing over 100s, 25s and 50s. I am sure the crawl and true fly swimmers would beat everyone else.

Butterfroggers would have to swim in freestyle events only it is not truly butterfly.
