I am just wondering if Masters Swimming is as strong as it has always been or stronger?

Are the number of swimmers and clubs growing or dwindling?

Just Curious

Rather than give an opinion, I will provide 2 links with membership history of both USMS and USA Triathlon and you can make a decision yourself. Go to page 17 for the USMS membership history.

I have no clue about USMS as a whole but our little team has gone from 3 to over 30 in 4 years. We have 5 new swimmers as of the first of the year. Let's hope most of the newbies stick around.

I believe Mr. Rob Copeland mentioned in a recent USMS Swimmer mag (or on one of these forums) that USMS was doing quite well on membership (as the USMS link verifies).

I find it interesting that with 58,000 members USAT sold 193,000 one event memberships.

USMS grew about 2% last year. I saw that some asked about growth with USA Triathlon. Be aware that that started registering youth in the last year and much of their growth is from that.
