View Full Version : Geek and Gull?

I have a new theory.....
After painstakingly reviewing posts from these "two" I have come to the conclusion we have a conspiracy on our hands....
Geek and Gull are the same person!
The photo was "doctored"
The times posted from the meet were "doctored"
What we have have is a foreign born, bipolar, narcissitic hermaphrodite swimmer that also has multiple personalities (not that there is anything wrong with that)....I'm sure of it!
I'm correlating additional data which I believe will also show that Geek/Gull is also Terry/Ion......more to come!
PS: notice how they tend to come post/leave around the same time....and its always around a full moon or lunar new year!

Have you guys not figured out that I am also M Phelps and that Breast video, and the Brit thing is really a ruse to throw you off...

Not a bad theory! I think the photo was doctored just so I'd look like a blithering idiot when I nominated it for "Best Photo of 2007" on the "USMS threadies" thread. I fell right into their clever trap.
Now, as to being the "same person" .... I'll just confess right now. I'm really the same person as Swimr4Life. We've just been pretending to be twins and FAF Sistas. We take "turns" swimming at nationals, her in 2005, me in 2006. Obviously, the bit about my left shoulder hurting and her right shoulder hurting is just a ploy. Y'all know we're the same poster.;)
As for Terry/Kaizen/Ion, it's a mystery where he's gone. He must be off on some world wide TI travel spree again. (No doubt, that's why you're taking over as the resident TI guru/advocate, Paul.) Or maybe I told him to "lighten up" too often and he decided to lighten up his posting .... :dunno:
It sure is boring without the bipolar multiple personalities ...

I can't speak for gull. I'm here, reading the swimming posts, on the rare occasion they come through. Good theory, however, maybe I'll write a poem in response.

And I've been on pins and needles waiting for your comment on the "And how do I fall in love with the 400 IM?" thread ... I'll look for a poem instead.

Damn I'm good! Maybe I should take up professional bass fishing if I can get a bite that quick! :groovy:
All take note; Interesting that the Geek personality came out first which I believe says something about the "strength" of these two personalities.....I would now theorize that the "Gull" will come back with a more logical, less sarcastic reply...and almost certainly tie it in with some Doggie Houser medical jargon.
The big question is.....can we entice the Ion personality out????!!!!
PS: It also happens to be national pancake day....maybe this has something do with the remergence?

It's a sad day when Gull doesn't even comment on the new fastskin pro ...
I thought the Geek was a fan of NSR posts. Didn't he just brag about his own predilection for NSR posting?

Paul- I sense that you are suffering from wine withdrawal. Always remember that the wine quota that you don't drink while trying to slim down can be saved for later. A worthy goal. BTW, you are in the early lead for the Forum's Thread Arsonist of 2007 award.

May I hazzard a guess here that Mr. Smyth the elder has far too much time on his hands? This must mean that he is temporarily off travel duty and is back to shoveling snow (and other things) at his place in Evergreen. Aren't there some worthy JanSport accounts that need attention Paul Pescado?

Man I knew I threw a huge piece of bait out there and snagging the Geek was a major accomplishment......but a visit from Mel????!!!
We're not worthy, we're not worthy!!
Wait....is Mel one of the mulitiple personalities?
Peter (and Mel)....My knee is screwed up which means EVERY form of workout I would normally be involved in has had a set back, which means no nationals, I'm fat, I'm laying off the beer & vino for awhile, we have 6' of snow on the ground over are property, my new VP is pain in the....so...can you imagine why Laura is going on VERY long runs lately?!

Pescado,
that's terrible news about your knee - sorry to hear it.
But, on a less serious note, could we take your good shoulders and Smyth the Younger's good knees and combine the two. Maybe we could call the creation John Paul Smyth....

Aqaugeek, Aquageek, why is it you like to freak?
Invisible lurker, why do you seldom speak?
Is it your senses we tweak?
You don't have to act so meek?
As tears of frustration leak,
Down your rose colured cheek.
Is it some swimming meat that you seek?
Oh Aquageek, Aquageek come smile or again we'll pique...

Ah, some things never change. It's good to know you're all still here and completely nuts
I can vouch for Tall Paul having at least one personality. I finally got to meet him last November (I think) when he and Laura came to one of the WCM 's practices. They're great, in a Kellogg's sort of way!
Paul, with injuries, does this mean you can't go climbing with Pat? :dunno:
(These icons are great! When did they get here?)

Geekity and Gullygee swim together in perfect harmony
Side by side in the swimming pool, oh lord why don't we?
We all know that people are the same where ever we go
There is good and bad in everyone,
We learn to live, we learn to give
Each other what we need to survive together alive.

Those of us with kids...traditionally have this week off from school...at least here in the NorthEast we do. I suspect Dr. Gull is on vacation somewhere.
Speaking of school...I went to college with G Gordon's kids. They were on the swimming and water polo teams as well. Talk about a unique individual.

Oddly enough they were not the Uber children which he had hoped to produce. Short with dark hair. But they were tough.
Water polo probably provided a good oulet for this side. Glad they were on our team is all I can say.

Are we all revealing our secret identities? I wouldn't want everyone to know I have tons of Olympic medals, more than any other American swimmer, but no individual gold, then that Dara had to announce her come back so I might have to take some time from my medical career ... darn ...

I think Peter is on record as being Jean Luc Picard, the famous breaststroker.
