Among the couple of hundred thousand attendees of the Housewares Show at McCormick Place this January 12-14 MUST BE some masters swimmers looking for workouts. Can anyone from the Chicago area recommend some teams interested in picking up some outsiders for workouts? I will be at the Hyatt downtown and would love to know of a place within a short (and relatively cheap) cab ride for AM workouts from 1/9-1/15 including Saturday.

I don't know about workouts near downtown. But I do know that the Park Hyatt, 800 N Michigan Ave., has a 3 lane 25 yd lap pool. Maybe b/c you are at another Hyatt you can get there and use that easily. The Swimmers Guide, http://www.swimmersguide.com/default.htm
has alot of Chicago listings. Good Luck!

There are many teams in Chicago and not too far from the Hyatt. Chicago Masters at UIC has morning workouts - their webpage for info is www.chicagomasters.com. It is accessible by cab. The team where I swim has evening workouts and Saturday AM workout. We are located in Wrigleyville which is easily accessible by public transportation. Feel free to email me directly for more info.

That's cool that the Hyatt has a 25 yard pool with 3 lanes. Most hotels or motels have your 10 yards or less.
