I have just a general question about the Y Nationals in April. In order to compete in that meet, do you need to be a member of a YMCA club team? Im a USMS member, however, team I am on is not a YMCA, and just curious if I can compete or not at that meet.
Thanks in Advance,
greg

You do need to be a member of an YMCA for at least 60 or 90 days (I am not sure of the number of days. ) There is probably a Y out there that you can join for a reasonable fee 60-90 days before the meet. Sarasota Sharks do an excellent job running the meet and it is a great place for a "swim vacation". Sarasota has wonderful beaches (Venice, Siesta, Lido, and Longboat).

You must be a full privileged member of a YMCA for no less than 90 days to compete in the YMCA Masters National Championship. In addition the YMCA you represent must forward a certificate of insurance prior to your entry being accepted to the host club.
