I really enjoyed the 2007 SCY Nats at Fed Way. It was good seeing old friends and making some new ones. I wanted to share some of my raves and kudos -

1. The meet organizers did an outstanding job and the meet was very well run. The facility is truly amazing.

2. On the third day, during the National Anthem, the microphone cut out on an 11 (or 12 year old) female swimmer (who has a beautiful voice and a possible future on American Idol). The audience picked up the remaining stanzas and the combined voices of the swimmers, timers and officials was truly moving.

3. Outstanding swims by established stars: Pipes-Neilsen, Val, McConica, Johnson, Commings, Boak, Kratti, Abrahams, Baker, Von Der Lippe as well as some new speedos: Stevenson, Marshall and Scalise - I hope that I did'nt miss someone.

Thanks again to the organizing committee for a great experience!

Such as yourself? I see a new National record in the 100 back by one Philipp Djang in the 50-54 age group. Well done!

I am so proud of everybody on our team. They had a great meet!

Kerry won the 100 and 200 fly (for the 1st time short course) and the 200 was amazing! He ripped that last 25- way to go coach Big Dog.

Not to be outdone, his wife Charlene, won a few events. Leianne Crittenden won some (more records I think), and Kildine Harms scored her first points ever! Patty Landers continued her backstroke winning ways, and Deb Swigert beat most of her entry times :)

Our men did really well with several life bests, and high placing finishes! Bill Johnston at 88 is astounding!!! And Richard Smith, 87, who had a major heart attack last year, was terrific.

I am so lucky to have the teammates I do. They are so inspirational to me, supportive in MANY ways, and I am honored to know them, and call them friends. Way to go 'Creek. I had a great time watching such outstanding swims :)

This was great! Our national anthem is so rousing and such a great song - it should be sung that way more often! I was really proud to sing along as usuall and happy not to be the only one singing along for once!

To further Kirk's point, I also recall watching the Djang bros swim some impressive races in back-to-back heats yesterday!
