I watched this segment and basically what Amanda said was that she was honored that Playboy approached her for a photoshoot. She said her family also thought it was a terrific move for her career because it keeps her in the limelight. Bill asked her if she thought it could be a degrading move and send a wrong message to young people. She said no because she said that she was an exhibitionist and it was in the interest of art. It also would show that anyone can achieve their goals and posing for Playboy was a goal. Her next goal is to return to swim competitions.

So there you have it...straight from the A herself.

On Bill O'Reilly's show? That Bill O'Reilly? I can see the Daily Show, Leno or Letterman, but Bill O'Reilly? Really, she needs to get a better agent. :)

Wow, what a quote! Way to get that out of her, Bill!

Skip, don't quit your day job and get your agent license just yet... She was on Letterman last week.

Perhaps Amanda was hoping Bill would bring in Geraldo and the two of them would debate "loudly" over why Amanda is or is not degraded.

LOL
I mean Bill "usptanding citizen" O'Reilly and Geraldo "model of newsworthy reporting" Rivera really have a lot of room here....

Yup, Bill O'Reilly's The Factor; she was there and she's proud of her Playboy stint. I suppose that would be an interesting fact to add to one's resume. Who knows? Maybe movies will be next?

I have not watched Bill for some time but he has always had some low profile, non-political people on there from time to time. Amanda was up for it to take advantage of Bill's huge audience, no doubt.

Everytime I think of O'Reilly I can't help but recall his fight against NAMBLA. He's a hot head but a very intelligent one.

Amanda will be calling in to my local morning radio show tomorrow morning, Elliot in the Morning. I am hoping it is sometime between 630 and 8. Otherwise, I may show up very late for work (they block internet audio).

I would hate to think she did it and is ashamed...playboy is a whole world behind movies...if it's those kind of movies you're talking about.

Report of Amanda on Elliot this morning.
They talked about the pictures a little bit, but then got into talking about how she got her body the way it was. That started out as "looking for flaws" in the pics and then quickly digressed into Amanda's diet and exercise regimen, focusing on how she swims 8-10 miles a day, 6 days a week. The discussion finished off discussing Amanda's Olympic conquests and future goals. I'd say it was probably 60/40 in favor of swimming related topics.

She seems to be making her appearences and defending her choice. I saw on ESPN's Outside the Lines segment where she talks about it. I dont know if it should be called outside the lines or inside the pages, but in any case, whatever fits, which In this case, is nothing.

......... tar 'n' feather her, sittin' on a greased pole (first) and then burn her to a crisp (though I like mine very rare.)

And salt the ground where she laid, so nothing grows for ten years.
