Noticed Mr. Copeland is the #1 seed for his 1500.And I noticed that Mr. Clemmons is sitting this one out. What?? You wanted to give some others a chance to go for the gold?

We have to return the college daughter to begin her second year. Starts early and gets out early - unfortunately, early this year = inconvenience. Next year won't be a problem since she's going to school in Newberg, about 35 miles from Gresham OR, whatever dates are decided upon.

The meet program will now be going to the printer on Tuesday of this week (7/31). I'm going to hold off posting the heat sheets for pre-seeded events and the meet timeline until then. Sorry for the delay.

The psych sheets have been updated with the latest information available.

Heat sheets (http://www.usms.org/comp/lcnats07/heats/) for all pre-seeded events and an estimated timeline (http://www.usms.org/comp/lcnats07/timeline.pdf) have been added for the long course nationals. It's time to start thinking about actually swimming those events now.

how is the meet seeded? looks like some sort of strange pseudo seed? with heat 25 being faster then 29 in the mens 100 M free

Masters Nationals are seeded by age group with the exception of the distance events. In the 100 free, heat 25 is the fastest heat of the 35-39 age group while heat 29 is the fastest heat of the 18-24 age group. Nationals are seeded this way to allow those who are in the same age group and are actually competing against each other for a national championship title to be in the same heat.

From page 34 of the USMS Rule Book:

(7) After all full heats are seeded within each age group, the remaining swimmers
may be seeded with any available age group of remaining swimmers.
