Sometimes I find myself slightly young for the "peace and love" flower power generation and slightly old for the pot and then acid generation later, or whenever. I was born in 1951. BUT last Saturday I went to a motorcycle huge event that figured the Steppenwolf band, with one surviving member present. They sang the perenial biker hymn, "Born to be Wild". The next day I saw a good cover of the Credence Clearwater Revival and recognized plenty of songs but sung later by other interpreters. I did see once a cover of the Beatles, so perfect, probably better than the originals with the better sound equipment. They did use the original instruments though...billy fanstone
