Need advice from Chicago area swimmers

Alright ya'll...I need some advice from the good folks in the Chicago area...

I am flying into Midway(gotta love southwest cheapo flights) and need to get to arlington heights,il


Is the best way to the "L" to the metra transfer station, then catch metra to AH?


Or do you all have a better..faster recommendations?

I think so. You want the Ogilvie Metra Station for northwest burbs, not Union Station. Ogilvie is 2 blocks north of Union Station, so you can walk between as needed.

The orange line goes from Midway downtown. I believe you will still have to walk or bus it a few blocks between orange line and Ogilvie. A cab to connect might be in the neighborhood of $5 plus tip if you plan it right. The distances are not far, but the one-way streets, disabled bridges over Chgo River, etc. are a misery to negotiate.

Later I'll look up which station to get off orange line for speediest access to Ogilvie.
