2nd out touched me by 4/100ths
... but you out-touched me by 0.07 ... and, as my reaction time was 0.88, I clearly lost it on the start!

Great to see you ... good luck at Zones!

Nice job. July is a rough period to swim fast in LCM. The best time to put out good LCM times is May and August. Of course, that is based on my experiences in the last few years. You will probably do better in August.

Thanks, I'm just showing up & trying to do the work outs, mostly as written. I also want to lose weight. I was disappointed with my SCY zone times & hope to do better at LCM nats

You can take decent amounts of rest and still get tired. A set like 6x75 fly on 1:30 starts off with the first 75 feeling like the beginning of a 200 fly, and then the next few 75's feel like the middle of the race, and then the last couple 75's feel like the end.

The key isn't not getting tired, it's not letting your stroke technique break down.

I came back at noon and did another practice

Well Ande, I did a mini version of 5x everything with the 4 rounds. Good set! I possibly could've made the intervals you had listed here, but by myself I just couldn't make myself get 0 to -1 seconds of rest on some of them! (mainly the ones with back and breast)
The fly on the end in Round 4 was great though. Killer for sure, but you have to keep in the game mentally for sure!

    4 rounds of
    11 x 50 on 40 right into
    11 x 25 on 20
    25 easy
    1:00 break before next round

    rounds:
    1) 50's 25fl/25bk on 40, 25's bk on 20
    2) 50's 25fl/25br on 40, 25's br on 25
    3) 50's 25fl/25fr on 40, 25's fr on 20
    4) 50's 25fl/25fl on 40, 25's fl on 20
That's one heck of a set! I was thinking of copying it for myself, but after further reading...WOW!!! And it doesn't do justice to make the intervals slower. Who knows, maybe I'll challenge myself with a mini version of this.
