    Hey Leslie,
    been blogging since 2005, sometimes bored, busy, or no access to PC or Ipad and not really wanting to phone it in.

    BC is BREATH CONTROL
    whitney assigns several sets a week with Breath Control aspects
    breathing patterns or
    Breaths per length

    Lately she's assigned 4 SDKs off each wall on a few sets.

    i got confused with another day
    my PC is acting up and I'm getting an error message (something like "2 characters too short")
    just edited it
    chow should do easy/fast sprint sets with lots of rest.

    wish I could do only sprint training but my 2 best events are the 2 & 4 IM's

    oops got confused with another day
    yes "Make it"

    I swam smooth but fast enough to make the intervals
    cheated on fly and did one arm stroke drill
    didn't make BR on 20 per 25 but was faster than 25

    Ande, in the 4 x rounds 25/50/75/100, what was the emphasis? I think I would try it as "keeping same pace to the 100"; ie, you don't slow down as the distance goes up; you keep the 100 time the same as adding 4 x25's - so the emphasis would be on "building to the 100".

    I can AFAP flutter kick a 33.3 yd on my back in 40, so that is much better and is a 2:00 pace...Still "pokey". I am learning to kick with a board on my stomach, so it must be a learning curve thing to get the technique and the leg stamina.

    at the end of practice did a
    25 FR K fast with a board from a belly flop dive

    Is that really enjoyable to do belly flop diving and then try to go fast?

    Hate to say it but 100 y flutter with a board in 2:42 is pretty pokey

    You also need to figure out
    what to do with your legs when you're swimming kicking hard might not add enough propulsion for the fatigue it causes
    Something might be wrong with your
    technique or foot flexibility

    What are your 25 times?
    improve your 15 & 25 speed before messing with 50s 75s & 100s

    1 arm fly & turns
    Bk pull on ll
    Br 1 arm turn
    Fr cruised it didn't kill it
    Think I could go 10 - 15 sec faster
    With fast suit in practice rest & work it mind set
